Did you know that there are some REALLY weird websites out there? Perhaps you might already know that, but some websites take weird to a whole new level.

While I’m sure some of them are even surprisingly useful, they take it to a level that makes you question why they even exist in the first place. Some people have too much time on their hands, I suppose.

But here’s the thing… we all like to think inside the box. We tell you to choose a good niche and a good name and create a really useful website. Create valuable content and monetize it.

Well, these people are clearly coloring outside of the lines… They’ve created content for a very different purpose, and we’re here for it.

The interesting thing is… Only ONE of these weird websites is actually monetized! (at least as far as we can tell from first glance).

There are a whopping 49 weird websites on this list, and we have broken them down into different categories for you based loosely on their intended purpose (because sometimes all one can do is guess).

Sometimes you just need to have fun, you know… let loose a little bit. It’s oddly comforting to know that some people creating some weird sh*t just for the hell of it!

I can promise you there are some websites on this list that will leave you scratching your head, laughing out loud, and maybe even some you might find weirdly useful.

And some of them will leave you asking… Why?

So without further ado, here are our favorite weird websites to visit on the internet…

Games and Entertainment

The following weird websites are all a bit more interactive than others on the list and they exist for some kind of entertainment purposes.

1. Zoom Quilt

I put this one first on the list because I honestly thought it was so cool. It’s strangely mesmerizing and I found myself unable to look away.

I thought it was going to end at first, but then it just doesn’t.

They actually have multiple options on the left and you can use your arrow keys to go backward or forwards as fast as you want.

The neverending quilt is actually really beautiful, so if you appreciate art, take a look at this weird site.

2. Find the Invisible Cow

When I first found this one, I thought it was really stupid. And it is. But then I just had to find the cow.

Listen for the cues. Your only clue is someone shouting “Cow!” that gets louder when you’re getting close to the animal.

It’s dumb but strangely satisfying when you finally find the cow.

3. Quick! Draw

This website is kind of fun, especially if you have an iPad or tablet with a pencil and like to draw.

Or if you don’t have any friends.

This website gives you 20 seconds to draw an image based on a prompt. It then uses AI and machine learning to try and guess what you have drawn.

Think classic Pictionary but with an AI instead of a human.

4. Amazon Dating

A satirical dating site. This website is a play on amazon and is eerily close to their layout and experience.

The website is a fake dating site that allows you to buy dates. It’s well done and quite comical when you think of how it sheds light on the current dating culture.

It’s weird, it’s funny, and it’s oddly relatable. My favorite link is the FAQ section which makes me laugh out loud a little every time.

5. Inherently Funny

This weird website is, like the name suggests, inherently funny. It has tons of made-up definitions and jokes of diseases, nicknames, insults, and ALL KINDS of stuff.

6. Rave.dj

Rave.dj is a website that allows you to create your own mashups and remixes… FOR FREE.

It’s super simple to use and you can create some seriously awesome stuff with it, even if you don’t have any musical experience.

All you have to do is pick two songs and the website does the rest, creating a mashup of the two songs that actually sounds pretty darn good most of the time.

7. Pap Machine

This one is actually pretty funny while also being super useful.

It’s software to help you generate stronger passwords while also throwing passive-aggressive insults at you throughout the way.

This website takes a password that you input and then gives it feedback, with a twist. It’s basically the equivalent of getting password advice from an in-law who isn’t too fond of you.

8. Crazy Card Trick

This website has a simple, quick card trick that will leave you mind-boggled the first time around.

I will admit, I was shocked when it got me the first time and it took me 3 times to actually figure out how was it done!

9. Check box race

This is another weird website with a stupid simple but strangely addicting game.

I JUST WANT TO KEEP CLICKING!

I wish they had a high score for this game or even some other time to beat. I’d probably play it for longer than I should.

10. World’s Dumbest Game

I don’t know about the world’s dumbest, although it is dumber than the check box game I just showed you. But I still feel like there are some even dumber ones later on in this list of weird websites.

I chuckled a bit at this one because there is still that weirdly competitive nature in me that wants to keep pressing the button even though I know it’s dumb.

I wish they displayed a high score.

Somewhat Useful

11. Histography

If you’re a huge history person, this website might be right up your alley.

It’s a massive, interactive timeline of history that pulls up Wiki pages for all sorts of historical events. I can spend hours on this website, going down rabbit hole after rabbit hole.

There’s something about learning about the past that is both fascinating and dangerous. It’s easy to get lost on this website and forget about the present. But that’s part of the appeal, isn’t it?

Good luck not getting sucked into this website for hours on end. I dare you.

12. Tiii.me

This is one of the more popular websites on this list. And while it may seem odd, it’s fairly useful for planning out those lovely weekend binge-a-thons.

Tiii.me tells you how long it will take you to watch an entire tv show. All you have to do is type in the name of the show and hit enter.

The website will then give you a list of every season with the estimated time it would take to watch that entire season.

For example, it will take you approximately 3 days and 18 hours to watch LOST!

13. Security.org (How secure is my Password?)

Now, this one should probably fall into its own category of very useful. Perhaps it’s not even so much as a weird website, but I definitely didn’t know a website like this existed.

This website allows you to input any password to see how secure it is. It feels inherently weird to type your private passwords into a random website online, and I’m certainly not recommending it.

But it could still give you ideas on how to create better passwords.

14. Patience is a Virtue

This one is pretty funny. It took me a second to get the joke.

It’s a good one to use when your friends or parents are waiting on you for something and being impatient. Just drop them a quick link to this website.

15. The Useless Web

Well, this website kind of renders our weird websites list a bit useless, because you could just use this website to discover random and mostly useless websites.

But we prefer our list because it’s nice and organized for you! Still, check it out. Click through a few websites!

16. Essay Typer

Now against my better judgment, I’m going to share this one. Because it is kind of awesome, although definitely not teacher-approved.

Essay Typer is a website that allows you to “type” out an essay on any given topic. It then proceeds to pull information from the internet and piece it together in an essay fashion.

It doesn’t ALWAYS make sense, but it can be oddly entertaining to see what it ends up writing. It can be a cool way to learn some quick facts about a topic or to create something for your own writing inspiration.

But um, disclaimer… This information is most certainly plagiarized. Students, you’ve been warned.

17. Flight Radar 24

This website is great for anyone who loves airplanes or travel.

Flight Radar 24 tracks flights all over the world in real time.

You can see where a flight is, where it’s going, and how long it will take to get there.

It’s actually a really fascinating website that can be a bit boggling to explore, seeing how many planes are actually in the sky.

18. Make Everything Okay

make everything okay button screenshot

Oh, if only it were that easy. A very simple website with a very powerful button.

When you press the button, it begins to make everything okay. Send it to a friend or loved one in need. It’s oddly calming and could put a small smile on their face.

19. Bored Button

Similar to Useless web, this website showcases other weird websites. It’s a great way to explore the internet and find new websites that you never would have found on your own.

It’s there for when you’re really, well, bored.

Perspective and Englightenment

This next category on our list of weird websites is full of thought-provoking, interesting, and informational websites.

Sure, some of the information and perspectives are ones that you never needed to know, but that isn’t the point of this article, is it?

20. Internet Stats

This is an oddly interesting website. It gives you a ton of statistics about the internet.

Everything from how much data is being used to how many websites are created every day.

It’s fascinating to see how the internet is growing and changing every day. You can find some seriously interesting stuff on this website, and it’s always updating with new statistics so you can check back often.

21. V1.Windows 93

This website is a throwback to the glory days of Windows 93.

weird windows 93 screenshot

It’s a working computer simulator that you can use to do all sorts of things, from playing classic games to using the old-school paint program.

If you’re feeling nostalgic or just want to remember what life was like before smartphones, this website is definitely going to be a walk down memory lane.

22. Age Geek

This is a cool website that gives you a few fun facts and events related to your birthday!

For example:

18 days from now, you’ll be the exact age Jay-Z was when he performed a “retirement party” concert at Madison Square Garden when he was 33 years, 11 months, and 21 days old.

23. What Song Defines Your Life?

This is another birthday-related one.

According to this weird website, the #1 song on the week of your 14th birthday defines you.

I don’t know who decided this or why, but it’s funny. I won’t tell you my age, but I will tell you that Nelly’s Dilemma apparently defines my life.

I’ll never see myself the same again…

24. The Quiet Place

This website is designed to help you find a bit of peace and quiet on the internet. It is a pretty simple site with a white background and black text.

There are no images, no videos, and no ads.

It walks you through how to get some peace and quiet, even doing so in lowercase letters so as to not disturb the silence.

You can just sit back, relax, and enjoy the silence with this one.

Another one of the more interesting items on our list of weird websites.

25. Window Swap

Window Swap is a website that allows you to see the view from someone else’s window. Helping you to enjoy all kinds of different views from around the world.

Here’s a view from Copenhagen, Denmark:

It’s quite odd and I’m not sure why you’d ever need this, but it’s still interesting.

The background noises that accompany the view are oddly enjoyable white noise and can help you to focus if you’re trying to get work done. (If you want to feel creepy.)

26. The Marginalian

Not at all random websites have to be useless, and this one certainly isn’t. If you want to learn more about interesting topics, then you should check out the Marginalian, formerly the Brain Pickings blog.

This blog is run by Maria Popova, an MIT Fellow, and contains a wealth of useful and thought-provoking information.

With in-depth research and writing for each post, you’re sure to find some good books to add to your reading list.

27. Wealth Gap

This website is a visual representation of the wealth gap in America, which is sadly a MASSIVE gap.

The website shows a visual representation of the wealth of the richest people in the world and how their riches compare to normal amounts of wealth.

It’s a shocking website that really puts things into perspective. And it’s definitely something everyone should see at least once.

It is quite eye-opening and can really put into perspective how much a BILLION dollars actually is.

28. McMansion Hell

This website is for all the architecture and design buffs out there. McMansion Hell is a blog that tears apart and mocks horribly designed Mansions.

It’s a great way to learn about what not to do when designing a home, and it’s also just really funny.

If you enjoy making fun of terrible design, then this website is definitely for you.

29. Always Judge a Book by Its Cover

always judge a book by its cover screenshot

This is the ONLY weird website on this list that is monetized (as far as I can tell). On this website, you can find SUPER weird and random Amazon books that are actually and shockingly for sale.

It’s pretty hilarious and could be good for a gag gift. This website is monetized with Amazon links and affiliate marketing.

30. Hacker Typer

This weird website could be used as a cool prop for a video or something. Other than that, I’m not sure why it would really be useful.

Hacker Typer makes it look like you are hacking into something by giving you a fake terminal screen and allowing you to type random code.

It is entertaining for about 2 minutes until you realize how stupid it actually is.

But hey, maybe if you go to a coffee shop or something someone will think you’re a cool hacker or something.

31. Rainy Mood

This website is designed to help you relax by providing the sound of rain in the background. You can adjust the volume and even choose different types of rain sounds.

I think Spotify can do the exact same thing with a lot more variety, but maybe this website was created 20 years ago. Who knows.

32. The Beatles Never Broke Up

This website feels like the start of a weird Sci-Fi investigative documentary on Netflix. They are all the rage these days.

I have binge-watched Making a Murderer, The Staircase, and many others myself.

This website tells the story of a guy going to another dimension or parallel universe and finding a tape there. This tape contains unheard music from the Beatles, and this guy has a link so you can download the music and hear it.

I’m not going to say whether or not I believe it, but it’s an interesting read if you’re into conspiracy theories or the Beatles.

33. The Auction Game

Ever wonder how much a royal victorian silver centerpiece on a plateau would go for at an auction?

If you guessed $5,000 as I did, you’d be wrong. The correct answer is $350,000!

This website will probably be familiar to anyone who is a fan of price is right. It is basically an online auction game where people can guess what an item sold for at auction.

No prize for winning other than a small bit of useless satisfaction. Sorry, folks.

Quick Laughs

This next category in our list of weird websites is a few websites that we found just for sh*ts and giggles.

34. Awkward Family Photos

This website is exactly what it sounds like. It’s a collection of awkward family photos – And some of them are HILARIOUS!

Some of these people are absolutely ridiculous but it’s great because it’s all real. They could be turned into memes, easily.

Check it out if you’re bored and need a laugh.

35. Cat Bounce

This website is dumb but I still laughed.

It’s just a bunch of cats bouncing around on the screen and you can make them bounce how you want by clicking on them.

36. Pug in a Rug

Another self-explanatory website that certainly qualifies for this list of weird websites.

A pug in a rug. There is literally just a picture of a pug wrapped in a rug and that’s it. To honor the pug, just keep watching it.

A bit odd, but as a pug fan myself, I got a good laugh from it. Send it to your pug fam!

37. Stuff on My Cat

Literally…

cat humor weird website

This is another website for the fans of hat humor (who doesn’t love cat humor, am I right?).

This website is a collection of photos of cats with stuff on them. All kinds of things: hats, game controllers, coffee mugs, boots, you name it.

38. MomsSpagetti

Alright now. This one is for all of our readers who are Eminem fans.

You know the hit “Lose Yourself”?

Well, this is a website where they replace all the verses with the phrase “Mom’s Spaghetti” and somehow, it is still kind of great.

Meme sites like this are really fun and this is one of the better ones out there. It’s always a good late-night laugh hit with friends and family.

Simple and Odd

Our last category comprises weird websites that are all kind of pointless but kind of cool (or even downright dumb). And yet… they exist.

39. Koalas to the Max

This website starts off with one giant circle, that every time you drag your cursor over, splits and keeps splitting and splitting.

It’s basically an infinite circle-splitting generator. That’s it.

What’s with the koala bear reference?

Keep splitting to find out!

40. Jackson Pollock

Are you an artist? You might be now.

This website is kind of cool. The designs you can make are pretty cool. Try taking a screenshot and making it your screensaver.

Or print it off for your mom to hang on the fridge.

Pro Tip: Click on the screen to change the color. (It took me about 4 times and an accidental click to discover that).

Here’s my contribution to the art world:

41. Scream into the Void

Do you ever just want to scream? Do you want a secret trick that is about 3% as effective as actually screaming?

There is a website that lets you type whatever you want to scream and then produces a screaming voice while flinging it into the void.

I didn’t find it super satisfying myself but give it a try if you need a dumb outlet for your frustrations.

Plus, it’s always nice to know that someone out there is listening… even if it’s just a computer program.

42. Click to Remove

This website is pretty self-explanatory.

There’s a line of text in the middle of the screen that says “Click to Remove.” And, when you click any of the letters, that letter disappears.

That’s it. Simple and easy.

43. Is it Dark Outside?

If you live in a room with no windows or doors and you have no idea if it’s dark outside, there is a solution for you.

Just ask this website.

It will use your location to figure out whether or not the sun is currently up and shining.

In case you also want to know if it’s currently Christmas, there is also a website for that. Fun fact, the language also changes based on your location.

44. Kit

One of the more creative and fun-for-the-eyeballs weird websites on this list.

This site allows you to create tessellations, which are patterns made up of shapes that fit perfectly together with no gaps.

You can create some pretty intricate designs. Try clicking and dragging before you give up on this brief eye party.

45. Salmon of Capistrano

I don’t really have words for this one, but I do have a picture.

salmon website screenshot

This website is just a picture of a salmon swimming upstream with the words “The Salmon of Capistrano” written on it.

That’s it. That’s the entire website.

I’m not sure what the story behind this website is, but it has been around for years and shows no signs of going away.

46. Perpetual Pizza

This is a never-ending stream of pizza that you can watch for hours on end.

I’m not sure why you would EVER need to go to this website. Maybe if you’re taking a little something extra, but I don’t get it.

Who knows, but bonus points if you listen to this pizza song while watching the pizza.

47. Pointer Pointer

This website, while certainly isn’t pointless (pun intended), is actually pretty funny.

This website will display random images of random people pointing in the exact place your cursor is on the screen.

Pointless in the sense that you never needed this but obviously not pointless because of all the pointing!

Bad jokes aside, give it a try!

Kudos to whoever must have spent AGES collecting these random images and putting them together with some kind of internet wizard magic.

48. Long Doge Challenge

This website is based on a weird Twitter meme that went ultra viral, eventually sparking the creation of the popular Dogecoin.

The singular purpose of this website is to see how many “wows” you can collect by continuously scrolling down the website.

Another dumb one, for sure.

49. That’s The Finger

I hate to leave you off with this one. It’s certainly not polite.

This website is just a big image of the middle finger.

It can be a good way to troll a friend, or maybe you just want to send someone a link to this page as a not-so-subtle way of telling them to ya know… eff off.

Final Thoughts on Random Websites

Well folks, there you have it. A list of some of the most useless and random websites on the internet.

I must say that I quite enjoyed writing this one because I’m not someone who really takes time out of my day to go in search of this type of content.

If you are and you’ve found some even better ones, let us know in the comments below!

Stay weird, my friends.
